And yep, I agree with you, it's just the sort of thing I like, a mix of serious and fun.

I've been enjoying your review posts, and have bookmarked several stories for future reads. I know that I can trust your recs for really well-written gen, especially good AUs and cross-overs!

[BTW, although I started reading mariole for her LOTR (her story "Bad Step", a Sam h/c, is a fave of mine) I've enjoyed quite a few of her non-LOTR fic. I am not normally a fan of RPF, but her AU story about the Beatles, "The Space Between Us" is brilliant. It's the only RPF I've ever read all the way through.]
