Temporary Website take Two
The spare machine (pippin) now has a new network card. Anyone care to surf to http://www.katspace.org/ to see if it's any better? I'm also running a less memory-hungry desktop on pippin, so that should help too (I had no idea that GNOME was such a memory hog! Mind you, I haven't used either GNOME or KDE in years so...) ETA Took another look, and for no reason that I can discern, instead of thinking that the new card was eth1 (which I had configured correctly) it thought it was eth2, which wasn't configured at all. And now that I've rebooted it again, it's gone back to thinking that it's eth1. (tears hair). Try again, folks, please?

Though it may not be a true data-point, since you're on the same side of the world as me, and all the people who haven't managed to connect are all in the UK... 8-/

I'm tired, okay?
Glad you're getting it, maybe it's actually fixed this time...

"Maybe you need to get another hat.")
