Asking About Umbrage

At the end of Order of the Phoenix, Hermione tricks Dolores Umbrage into the Forbidden Forest and the dubious mercy of the centaurs. It would be no surprise if Umbrage wanted revenge for that.

What I'm wondering, though, is what would her attitude to Snape be immediately after OOTP? During the book, she regarded him with favour, considering him an ally. But he wasn't an ally, he was just pretending to be. Would she have figured this out and want revenge on him too? Or would she still think positively towards him?

She never struck me as being very bright, so I doubt that she would have figured it out. (If she had done, then she was probably powerful enough within the Ministry of Magic to make sure that Snape wouldn't get the headmastership of Hogwarts.)

I'm not sure she ever realized what he'd done. She was really a rather stupid woman.

But she had a certain cunning, so if she did realize, she probably would have hidden any distaste until she could either make use of him or do something to him with no consequences to herself.
