More Creami Prep

If this is boring you, skip it. Still gonna post this stuff.

Tub 11: Christmas Pudding Ice Cream

This is an attempt at adapting my original Christmas Pudding Ice Cream recipe to the Ninja Creami. With some other alterations as well.

In one container:

  • 150ml Oat Flour (normally I would attempt to pulverise rolled oats in a blender, I hoped this would save me time)
  • 150ml water

Blend, refrigerate overnight.

In another container:

  • 3 tablespoons brandy
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 150g mixed dried fruit

Refrigerate overnight.

To the Oat mix container add:

  • 200g Natural Yoghurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Blend.

Add the fruit mixture to the oat & yoghurt mixture. Blend/puree.

This ended up coming to more than the 500ml needed to fill a tub, so we come to...

Tub 13: (remember, Tub 12 was the orange sorbet)

  • the remainder of Tub 11 (about 150ml?)
  • 250ml low fat milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Puree.

This came to a bit less than 500ml, so that is enough for a tub.

I don't know how either of these will turn out; the brandy could be too much and prevent it from freezing enough, at least for the first one. I do expect that all the dried fruit will be completely undetectable, with the result being completely uniform. So I may end up trying the mix-in feature with additional dried fruit. We shall see tomorrow, or the day after (tomorrow may end up being busy).

I'm still pleased with the orange sorbet. It's so simple!
