The exersize is basically writing the events of Labyrinth as if I were writing a convention report, fuzzy memory and all. I am deliberately not re-watching the movie until after I've finished the journal, just relying on my human memory and thus getting things out of order etc.
My reasons for doing this are twofold:
1. All the Labyrinth fics I've read are set years after the events of Labyrinth - nothing in the immediate aftermath. 2. This is kind of a character-study for me, trying to figure out how Sarah's character would really develop after the events. I find it rather frustrating that so many Labyrinth fics ignore that she did not consider him to be sex-on-legs when they originally met.
