FINISH-A-THON IS HERE!

Announcement Post

Finally. I spent all morning and half the afternoon fixing bugs with the sign-up website, so I really hope it is working now.

Of course, I did my own signing up when I was debugging the site (http://www.katspace.org/fiction/ficathons/finish-a-thon/2010/author/Kathryn_Andersen/)
I wanted to limit my bunnies this time to things I was more certain that I could finish (am tired of not finishing fic!), but while I'm definitely going to keep the first two in the sign-up (the next Buffy+Doctor story, and a short bridging piece for my Martha-is-a-Timelord series) I'm not so set on what my third option should be, or whether I should give more than three.

What I really really don't want to do this time is start an epic I won't be able to finish. I was stressing enough about my SSHG story, I don't want to stress about this.

So, my friends, here are some of my potential bunnies; if you pipe up, then you could influence what I put up for the vote.

You might note that a lot of my Harry Potter bunnies take an existing HP fic cliche and twist it. I've obviously been reading too much HP fic.

More recs from the SS/HG Exchange

The Janus Thickey Ward Bittersweet; finding peace and hope in a sea of dreariness and apathy.

The Mysterious Miss Granger Mysterious indeed; it draws you in not just with the mystery, but the meticulous detail of some things, and the bare hints of others.

A Mournful Rustling in the Dark Mystery with a touch of noir, deliciously subtle conversations, attraction, self-control.

I'm surprised how popular the trope of an amnesiac Snape is. I guess people like it because it gives him the opportunity to leave behind all his baggage and start anew, but I think I find it a little more satisfying if he can find peace with all his memories intact; losing everything seems rather too drastic, if he never gets it back again.

Edited to Add: Whom The Gods Annoy
I expected this one to be amusing, but then it took a right turn into touching and angsty as well as whimsical.
